Perram House is a pioneer in residential hospice care in Toronto. It offers residential
palliative care for individuals who have a limited life expectancy. Working with
a dedicated nursing, medical and personal support staff with the assistance of trained
volunteers, we provide nursing care, personal support, psychosocial and spiritual
care placing the client in control of his or her life and care.

Toronto Area Hospice Regatta

This annual event is a superb common hull sailing event which draws competitors from across North America. Our spectator boats take you off shore for a day on the water to view competitive sailing offshore at its bets. Hosted by the National Yacht Club, our next event will be held June 15 -17, 2012. The Healing Cycle

Each June, the Healing Cycle Foundation organizes a cycling event in support of Residential Hospices across Ontario. Perram House is an active participant with a growing team of cyclists riding hard to raise funds for our programs. Next Year’s event is scheduled for Sunday June 24th, 2012. Clean those clubs and get ready for another fantastic day on the links with annual NACCB golf day scheduled for Tuesday Sept 4, 2011, the day after Labour Day. This year will be the 10th Annual Golf Classic in support of Perram House and it keeps getting better, with fun events and a spectrum of challenges for great, good and fun golfers alike. |

Each year Perram House participates in the Hike of Hospice held at Riverdale Park in Toronto. Next year’s event is scheduled for May 6, 2012. Put your hiking shoes on and join us for a fun day in the Don Valley with entertainment and refreshments for the family. |

Hospice workers learn life lessons from dying patients
I count myself among those Canadians deeply thankful for the compassion and
professional skill offered by hospice workers to loved ones in the final days
and moments of their lives.
But what I never really considered before now was how the daily experience of
caring for the dying can impact the hearts and minds of these same care givers.

The third annual Toronto Area Hospice Regatta was held over the weekend of June 18-20, 2010 with great success. All enjoyed great weather, sailing followed by a fun evening on the dock which featured fantastic BBQ band and dancing. for sailors and non sailors alike.
